Middle East News Network: Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, issued a direct and explicit threat to the U.S. administration and American forces, stating that Iranian weaponry is capable of sinking aircraft carriers.
\nKhamenei delivered a clear warning to U.S. President Donald Trump and the American military, affirming that Iran possesses military capabilities that could turn U.S. aircraft carriers into wreckage at the bottom of the oceans. He stressed that \u201cthe weapon capable of sinking an aircraft carrier to the bottom of the sea is far more dangerous than the carrier itself.\u201d
\nThe remarks were made during a speech in the city of Tabriz on the occasion of the \u201canniversary of the historic Tabriz uprising,\u201d in response to repeated statements by Trump in which he boasts that \u201cWashington has the strongest army in the world.\u201d Commenting on this, Khamenei said: \u201cThe American president keeps repeating that his army is the strongest in the world, but even the strongest armies can receive a crushing blow that prevents them from rising again.\u201d
\nThe Iranian Supreme Leader added: \u201cThey continue to talk about sending aircraft carriers toward Iran. Naturally, an aircraft carrier is a threat, but what is more dangerous is the weapon that has the capability to send that carrier to the bottom of the sea.\u201d He emphasized that \u201cno party in the world will be able to destroy the Islamic Republic,\u201d considering that Trump\u2019s previous acknowledgment \u2014 when he admitted that the United States had failed for 47 years to overthrow the Iranian regime \u2014 is evidence of Washington\u2019s inability to achieve that objective in the future as well.
