\nQa\u2019ani stressed that \u201cAmerican terrorists have no choice but to leave the region,\u201d launching a sharp attack on the commander of the U.S. aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford.
\nIn a statement published by Iranian Arabic-language media, Qa\u2019ani said that the carrier\u2019s commander was \u201ccowardly\u201d and did not dare to cross the Bab al-Mandab Strait out of fear of \u201cthe heroic fighters and the steadfast Yemeni people.\u201d He added that after two weeks of hesitation and sailing in the Red Sea, the carrier withdrew from the area \u201cunder a fabricated pretext,\u201d according to his description.
\nQa\u2019ani further stated that \u201cthe destiny of all American terrorist forces is to flee the region,\u201d calling on U.S. President Donald Trump\u2014whom he described as a \u201ccriminal\u201d\u2014to dismiss the commander of the aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford.
\nThis comes within Tehran\u2019s broader view that the retreat of the U.S. fleet and the failure of military movements by bases and carriers indicate a systematic withdrawal of American presence from the Middle East military landscape.
