Mohammed bin Zayed Discusses “Consolidating Peace in the Middle East” with Lindsey Graham
Middle East News Network: UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham today, Wednesday, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi.
The Emirates News Agency (WAM) stated that the meeting addressed the friendship ties and strategic cooperation that unite the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
Both sides emphasized their mutual commitment to strengthening the partnership between the two countries in a way that serves their shared interests.
The agency added: “The meeting also touched on regional developments and the efforts being made in this regard, in addition to a number of issues and topics related to regional security and stability, as well as joint efforts to consolidate peace in the Middle East and the world at large.”
The meeting was attended by Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President; along with a number of ministers and senior officials.
It is worth noting that the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs had previously announced Mohammed bin Zayed’s acceptance of the United States’ invitation to join the “Peace Council” dedicated to the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry also renewed the UAE’s confidence in the leadership of Donald Trump and his commitment to achieving global peace, citing the historic Abraham Accords as a practical embodiment of this commitment. The UAE affirmed its readiness to actively contribute to the work of the “Peace Council” in support of cooperation, peace, stability, and prosperity for all.
