Public Security Directorate Issues Awareness Message to Residents Living Near the U.S. Embassy in Amman

Middle East News Network: The Public Security Directorate has called on citizens residing in the vicinity of the U.S. Embassy in Amman to take precautionary safety measures upon hearing sirens, as follows:
Remain inside your homes until any threat has passed (indicated by hearing a single continuous siren).
Close windows and stay away from them.
Drivers should immediately stop their vehicles and proceed to the nearest building, taking shelter near staircases until the threat has ended.
If necessary, do not hesitate to call the unified emergency number 911.
The Directorate confirmed that these precautionary measures are taken in the interest of public safety and do not require panic among citizens. Everyone is advised to adhere to them.
