Boroujerdi to Trump: We Will Not Leave You Alone, and Our Control Over the Strait of Hormuz Is Eternal

Middle East News Network: Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the National Security Committee in the Iranian Parliament, confirmed that Iran will not leave U.S. President Donald Trump alone, stressing that Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz will remain forever.

Boroujerdi stated that Iran will never lose control over the Strait of Hormuz, adding that “Trump’s threats never end, and they are empty threats.”

He added in televised remarks reported by the Tasnim News Agency: “Today, not only the Americans, but all Western countries have realized the prestige and greatness of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and they have acknowledged the strength of the Iranian Republic.”

He continued: “The negotiation arena is not a field of bargaining or humiliation; we entered it in obedience to the order of the Supreme Leader, and our colleague (Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf) is managing these negotiations with his valuable experience, and we hope they will succeed.”

Boroujerdi described President Donald Trump’s threats as “endless empty threats,” considering that they “will only result in scandals for America and further strengthen the power of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Regarding the truce with the United States, Boroujerdi said: “After two weeks of the truce, they extended the ceasefire without any significant step, but Trump must know that we will not leave him alone.”
