Israeli Army Announces Injury of Two Soldiers in the West Bank

Middle East News Network: The Israeli Defense Forces announced early Wednesday morning that two of its soldiers were injured during an operational activity in the village of Silwad in the West Bank.

The army said in a statement that two armed men attacked the soldiers, resulting in their injuries and their transfer to the hospital for medical treatment.

The statement added that Israeli forces responded by opening fire on the attackers, killing one of them, while the other was neutralized and arrested.
