إعتقال البرلمانية رشيدة طليب في مطار ديترويت- (تغريدات)
وهج 24 : أُحتجزت البرلمانية رشيدة طليب من قبل الشرطة يوم الجمعة خلال احتجاج من أجل الحصول على رواتب أعلى للموظفين لدى شركة دلتا في مطار مترو ديترويت.
وشوهدت طليب، وهي من أصل فلسطيني، إلى جانب العديد من المتظاهرين، بينما كان العشرات يجلسون على الرصيف.
وقالت النائبة الديمقراطية طليب بعد اعتقالها في تغريدة على تويتر “لن نتوقف حتى يحصل هؤلاء الناس على أجور عادلة وتأمين صحي، العمال يستحقون الكرامة، لا يمكن أن نتركهم يعيشون في فقر”.
وكانت طليب تحتج مع عمال التموين في دلتا، الذين شعروا بالإحباط من شركة الطيران، وقد تم نشر صور الاحتجاج من قبل أعضاء “يونايت هير”، وهو اتحاد يمثل موظفي الفنادق والألعاب والخدمات الغذائية وصناعة شركات الطيران في الولايات المتحدة وكندا.
وأوضحت ديانا حسين، وهي عضوة بالاتحاد، أن الموظفين كانوا يحتجون على تكاليف الرعاية الصحية التي لا يمكن تحملها والأجور المتدنية.

Replying to @heyadiana and 6 othersCORRECTION: Rep. @RashidaTlaib was not processed as an arrest with the other protesting workers, but did participate in solidarity in the civil disobedience, including joining the protesters in the van as officers took them for processing.
